Waxing
Waxing- LYCON
We use Australia's Lycon wax which contains the finest resins, natural ingredients and aromatherapy oils to deliver superior performance, removing hairs as short as 1mm and with its low temperature it provides a much more comfortable and virtually pain-free treatment.
For the more delicate areas we use hot wax which literally shrink wraps around the hair and does not stick to the skin. When the wax is removed it pulls from the very root of the hair follicle, removing the dermal-papilla. This will prevent hair breakage, in-grown hairs, bruises and redness and the painful sting associated with other types of wax.
To meet the highest standards in safety, cutting edge quality, low temperature, reduced pain & minimised risk of ingrown hairs, we use superior wax used during treatment, adheres only to the hair and not the skin.
Dream Zone provides the highest standard of comfort and hygiene in professional luxurious surroundings, combined with highly skilled expertise in advanced waxing.

Waxing after-care advice
Things to avoid in the first 24 Hours
Your hair follicles will be open after your treatment, so it is important to avoid the following for 24 hours after your wax:
-Perspiration and friction:
-Sauna / Steam room
-Hot bath / Shower / Swimming
-UV exposure
-Fake tan / Body Lotion / Perfume
-Tight clothing
-Deodorant (underarms)
-Make Up (facial waxing)
-This will help to prevent bacteria getting into the pores and causing infection.
-Placing damp cloth and applying Aloe vera gel over the waxed areas will help to soothe the skin.
-We also recommend that you refrain from shaving or using hair removal creams between waxing services as this will interfere with hair growth patterns and cause hair to become coarse in texture and may cause an increase in ingrown hairs in the area.
As women tend to be more sensitive when premenstrual we recommend that you pencil in your appointment after this time to ensure treatment is more comfortable for you.
-Waxing is not suitable if you are currently using Glycolic Acid (It is important to check that this ingredient is not contained in your skincare homecare products especially for facial waxing) and if you are taking Retin A or Roaccutane within the last six months.
-Do not use body creams/lotions, perfumes or tanning products on treated area for at least 24 hours after waxing.
Do not sunbathe or use sunbeds 24hrs before treatment.
Refrain from any excessive excerise after your treatment for at least 24 hours as your hair follicles will still be open and sweat may cause irritation or infection.
-We also recommend
-Moisturize the skin before and after the treatment
-3-10 days after your waxing service, you need to ensure you prevent ingrown hairs. The skin will close over the follicles and new hair may get trapped causing ingrown hairs.
-Gently exfoliate 2-3 times a week with a body scrub. Start this routine 2-3 days after the waxing treatment. It is essential that you perform this routine between days 3-10 after your wax service. Remember to not over exfoliate as this can cause damage to the skin.
